Program Evaluation




The information in this evaluation plan may be subject to changes. For the updated and definite information, please check the course calendar.

Essay: There will be one along the term (one for the Essentian Linguistics reading). (10 %)

Tests: There will be three tests, worth 20 % and 15% each one. Each test is made up of multiple choice questions, fill in the blanks, full questions, etc; Students who miss any of the tests are required to get bring the justification for the absentness in order to take the make-up tests which will be administered during the semester.

Workshop:
There will be one along the term (one for the Linguistics Theories and the History of Linguistics reading). (15%)

Extensive Reading:
ER sessions will be held each class day. In each session, students read short texts on specific topics and complete ideas, participate. Evaluation consists on the progress shown by students in terms of quantity of texts read and quality of the participation in class.

Extensive reading online: students willing to make extra credit can do reading on their own and submit them online. Students should read two texts and post the corresponding online worksheet weekly from week 2 to week 10. Students will receive the extra points only if they meet this requirement.

Face to face and Blog participation:
There will be a blog for the section. Students who subscribe to the blog and regularly post comments on it will have the chance to get 10 %.
